Hills!

We were told that today would have several of the worst climbs of the whole trip. Uhhhh, they were right, I hope. The new gears are good but they can't perform miracles. The heavily loaded bikes and legs that areused to flat-landing it around Mineapolis aren't up to some of these climbs just yet. In the photo here we are pushing our
bikes up a huge one. The long downhills after these climbs are reeeeeeal pleasant.

I want to mention how many people have seen our huge bike bags and stopped to ask where we're headed and wish us a great trip. People in the bay area are quite friendly... Or maybe they just love Cheez-Its.
